THE 2024 HEALTH THEME IS 'INCLUSION'

Feeling included is a key aspect of human life - and essential for good mental health. We can all recall a sense of exclusion: Moments when we felt left out, different, judged, unwelcome, undervalued or unappreciated. How could an inclusive attitude changed that situation?

Being truly inclusive impacts overall wellness and can determine the success of a community. It enables meaningful and varied social connections, increases empathy, self respect, self-esteem and resilience.

Inclusion is about creating a culture in which all feel welcome, safe and confident to be themselves. Inclusion paves the way for everyone to be valued and have genuine input.
